**Applications Solutions Architect**

This is a senior role within DXC Wellington with responsibility to support and deliver business, structured and bespoke service offerings engagements to DXC clients. Employing advanced verbal and written communication skills, in-depth technical background and the ability to explain architecture, the senior architect will progress identified business opportunities from conception to completion. Working with a variety of DXC persons including sales, account teams and other senior DXC managers and directors, the senior solutions architect will work to identify and develop business growth whilst also instilling confidence and trust in DXC's clients. Your responsibilities include working as the lead for crafting the proposal crafting and response, end to end, the solution strategy, roadmap development and to the win theme creation. You will lead the solution and cost development, integration across multiple offerings and overall solution management. In addition to this you will present the solution to the client and manage due diligence and BAFO, and have understanding of the transition solution.

You will work closely with sales teams, pursuit leaders, bid manager, internal governance and other bid team members (SMEs) globally to create an integrated ‘winning’ solution, leveraging DXC’s offerings and capabilities and direct other Solution Architects/SMEs for their contribution and assistance towards the solution creation and meeting time-lines. You will be the Lead team member for the technical & pricing solution and ensure that the solution embodies DXC win themes and differentiators & meets the client’s needs and requirements in both the current and future states.

The Key skills and Requirements follow
- Must have total experience of 10 - 14 years (For OSA)
- Must have worked E2E on solution opportunities from global clients.
- Must have good knowledge to work on solutions in the areas of
- Applications Development - (Custom Apps) including Web Technologies, DevOps, Cloud Native development, Microservices / 3 tier Architecture, Open Source development etc.
- Application Modernization & Transformation - Portfolio Rationalization / Migration, Remediation) and Migration to cloud - E2E work from assessment to Priced Solution
- Digital Applications - Must have worked with Emerging Technologies / Next gen offerings in Cloud Technologies, Big Data & Analytic, Mobile Technologies, Automation etc.
- Applications Management - Apps maintenance, support, managed services,, As a service propositions, tools & automation etc.
- Costing and Pricing using cost & price models
- Must have played key / leading / owner role in RFP / RFI response activities and proactive opportunity pursuits for at least 4 - 5 years
- 3 - 4 years of experience in solution delivery is definite plus
- Expertise in one to two industry verticals is a plus - Healthcare, Travel & Transformation

This role has a focus for our government clients here in wellington and requires that you hold New Zealand citizenship or at least Permanent Residency for New Zealand
