**Mō**te tūranga | About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Independent Portfolio with several casual positions available.

As a Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day support to individuals with disabilities, both in their homes and out in the community. The Independent Portfolio offers a mix of shifts from mornings to evenings, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts in other portfolios.

**Your role will include**:

- Supporting people living in flatting situations
- Weekly menu planning and grocery shopping
- Cooking and maintaining a clean, healthy living environment
- Attending appointments
- Navigating flatting dynamics

The people we support enjoy a variety of activities, such as shopping, beach walks, coffee and cake outings, visiting friends, supporting the Crusaders, going to markets and fairs, or heading to the pub for a pint, to name just a few.

Daily tasks include supporting daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and depends on qualification level, paying between $23.50 and $28.25 per hour.
