**ABOUT THE JOB**

We currently have a great opportunity for Apprentices to join our Hinuerateam.

Are you a self-starter with a mechanical aptitude who would like to pursue a Heavy Diesel apprenticeship OR are you already working in the industry and keen to work with world-leading transport brands'

This position involves:

- Vehicle maintenance and repair of heavy transport equipment
- Assist to maintain and service vehicles in accordance with OEM specifications
- Assist to diagnose, repair and overhaul of truck components such as engines, transmissions, final drives, air system and chassis components
- Assist to verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems
- Comply with vehicle compliance requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful we are looking for the following:

- Interest in starting a career in the Heavy Diesel industry
- Working in a mechanical role and would like to become a fully qualified Heavy Diesel Technician
- Second or third year apprentice on their way to complete their NCEA Level 4 qualification
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Self-motivated and keen to learn
- Disciplined, punctual and reliable
- Able to positively interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
