Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The Research Nurse is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of study protocols conducted through the Australian and New Zealand Fontan Registry (ANZFR) within Paediatric & Congenital Cardiac Services (PCCS) at Starship Child Health. The ANZFR is the world's largest registry of health information on people born with single ventricle cardiac conditions. The ANZFR produces high-quality research to improve clinical care, long term outcomes and treatment options.

Te Toka Tumai Auckland is part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand's National Health Service. Starship Child Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family centred care to neonates, children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. Starship is a part of Te Toka Tumai Auckland and is the only comprehensive children's hospital in New Zealand serving a population of approximately 1 million children. Auckland City Hospital is NZ's largest public tertiary hospital which has strong ties with University of Auckland and provides extensive teaching and training opportunities.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
be a registered nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
have a personal commitment to on-going learning and development
Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
Previous experience with PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel and database entry
Experience conducting clinical trials, maintaining case report forms and reporting adverse events
Current GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certificate
**Desired skills**:
Familiarity with research methodology
Have a Post graduate qualification
Proficient or Expert practitioner in the specific area
