Cabinet Maker/ Stone Fabricator

**Who we are**

We are an Auckland based company operating within the larger Auckland Region. We design create and build complete kitchens, bathrooms and customised furniture from a wide range of products, including timber veneer, solid timber and plain custom wood.

**What we are Looking for**

We require the service of 3 x experience Cabinet Makers / Stone fabricators to join our high-performance team, to work between Mon to Friday for a minimum of 40 hours per week FULL TIME.

**The Role**

**Cabinet Maker & Stone Fabricator - Duties & Required Skillset**

At The Cabinet Place, our team members must possess a diverse and adaptable skill set - no two days are ever the same. We specialise in all aspects of cabinetry and stone fabrication, including kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, study nooks, office setups, shop fit-outs, and benchtops. Our work spans both residential and commercial projects, requiring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manufacture and assemble cabinetry to a high standard
- Install kitchens and internal cabinetry on-site
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and tools
- Fabricate, polish, and install natural and engineered stone benchtops
- Operate stone cutting and edge polishing machinery
- Read and interpret shop drawings for both cabinetry and stonework
- Work on custom and bespoke joinery and stone projects
- Assemble and stage cabinetry and stone tops within the factory
- Provide guidance and support to junior cabinet makers and assemblers
- Assist across various production areas as required
- Carry out ad hoc site work for special cabinetry or stone installations

**The Requirements**
- A minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker /Stone Fabricator
- experience working in a production plant environment
- The ability to read dreawings and CAD knowledge
- Proven experience as a cabinet maker / stone fabrication
- Good understanding of cabinet making techniques and methods of installation
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Days of work: Monday - Friday 7 am to 3.30

Saturday work is optional

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
