Reporting directly to the Chief Allied Health, Scientific & Technical, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with a proactive, “can-do” attitude to join our team.

**About the Role**
**Key responsibilities of the role**:
- Supporting the Chief Allied Health, Scientific & Technical in meeting key organisational priorities
- Providing activities to support strategic leadership for allied health scientific & technical workforces that spans across disciplines and divisions working across the MidCentral sites.
- Optimising allied health's involvement and contribution to models of care leading workforce development, clinical programmes and initiatives, or new models of care relevant to allied health, scientific & technical across the system and providing a strong collective voice for allied health workforces
- Contribute to growing and developing front-line clinical leadership, actively supporting leadership capability improvements and enabling clinicians and teams within the organisation to make good decisions as close to the patient/client as possible
- Contribute to and support a programme to grow the workforce and will be integral in the sustainability of the Gateway programme.
- Supports system change and work collaboratively across the divisions and service providers to support and influence the role allied health, scientific & technical plays in better outcomes for communities
- Strategic function supporting the organisation and division leadership to ensure clinical governance is embedded within Allied Health, Technical and Scientific professions

**About you**
To be considered appropriate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- An appropriate qualification for the particular allied health scientific & technical profession (preferred)
- Registration with applicable regulatory body
- A current annual practicing certificate in relevant discipline or membership of relevant association where profession is not governed by the HPCAA
- A Relevant postgraduate professional qualification and have at least 5 years' demonstrated leadership experience
- Awareness of equity or access issues affecting our communities across the sector including, but not limited to Māori Health
- Contribute to regional or national work projects as delegated
- Active participation in relevant discipline conferences, presenting papers and/or posters
- Experience in having worked in a leadership role and part of a wider leadership team
- Evidence in leading and managing change (process enhancements)
- A thorough understanding of the function of the allied health scientific and technical groups and their challenges
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
