**About the Role**

We have a **permanent full-time position** available with 1 FTE, involving the full range of shifts including weekends and night shift. The primary purpose of the role is to produce high standard imaging thus contributing to a quality diagnostic radiography service for all referrers and their patients.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

**You will be working with the Starship Radiology** team. Our services include imaging for Inpatients, Emergency Department and Outpatients as well as in Starship Operating Rooms. Our Radiology department is equipped with three state of the art DR plain x-ray units, including a brand-new Siemens Multitom Rax, three DR C-arms and an O-arm in theatre as well as three DR Philips portable machines. We have a Siemens Luminos Fluoroscopy unit, a Siemens Force CT, and a Siemens Verio 3T MRI. As a team of 20 Medical Radiation Technologists, with a wide range of experience and skillset, we provide a supportive environment for all new staff with a comprehensive orientation programme, on-going mentoring and continuous opportunities for further training and growth.

**About you**

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- You must be registered with the **New Zealand MRT Board** and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate to be considered. For more details visit**:mrtboard.org.nz**:

- Previous paediatric experience would be beneficial but not vital, although an ability to relate well to children and caregivers is essential. The ability to function as a member of a small enthusiastic group is required and, as the work involves some sole charge shifts, an ability to work unsupervised is required.
- The successful applicant will be expected to perform the full range of radiology procedures using the equipment available. Starship is a filmless Department utilising both CR and DR
