He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We currently have a Casual Orderly position available at Whakatāne Hospital on an 'as and when required' basis. There are no sets days or hours with this position.
To work within a busy Orderly Department, you must comfortable working under pressure, be able to stand for long periods and be physically fit to carry out the required tasks.
Our main role is to transfer patients, equipment and other vital supplies throughout the hospital and campus. Driving tasks both around campus and off site forms a part of your working day so a clean, full NZ driver's licence is required.
This role is predominately customer service and you should be able to demonstrate great experiences and skills in this area. You must be prepared to go the extra mile in accordance with our CARE values.
Our role is varied, and time bound, therefore the ability to follow instructions is a requirement.
Shifts are allocated on an 'as and when required' basis by service management. You will cover all areas of Orderly work and will receive full training.
A knowledge of radio equipment would be an advantage but not essential.
