Relationships really matter to us. We influence across the organisation, including at executive leadership level, helping to join the dots and ensure risks are effectively managed. We also play a critical role in crisis management, ensuring clear communication to all IRD people around New Zealand.
Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The opportunity
The Senior Communications Advisor role creates communications plans and products, provides strategic advice and supports leaders in IR to effectively communicate within their business groups and across IR.
We are open to considering flexible working arrangements such as hours of work, and work location.

To be successful in this prole you will possess some of the following attributes:
- An excellent and confident writer who is a plain language champion and understands how to convey complex information simply
- Experience in internal communications best practice, channels, and frameworks
- An eye for continuous improvement, looking for innovative ways to support the internal communications team and our internal customers
- The confidence to work with senior leaders and the ability to build and leverage positive relationships
- Having energy, creativity and innovation to make communications products that resonate with our IR audiences
- The ability to understand the big picture while working on the detail
- Experience writing communications plans that identify risks so communications campaigns flow logically and build strong engagement.
- Strong initiative and the ability to solve problems in a complex environment.
