**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and energetic Azure Cloud Architect to our growing team. You will have a solid background in building enterprise-grade Azure infrastructure to support 99.99% SLA in a highly available, 24/7, public-facing Linux environment. As an Azure Cloud Architect you will work closely with the Client Services and Product teams to ensure SaaS Operations can exceed SLA, resiliency, and reliability objectives for our client. The role is designed for a cloud architect expert who can not only triage and prioritise when necessary, but also has a strong sense of responsibility and ownership and can drive a complex problem to completion. This role will be based in Wellington.

**About the role**:
As an Azure Cloud Architect you will:

- Analyse, design, document, and build our next-gen operations and deployment infrastructure
- Deploy and enhance components of our ecosystem such as Container Services, Load Balancers, Firewalls, monitoring and alerting tools, etc
- Maintain ongoing improvement of processes, and best practices to meet security, cost and agility requirements
- Contribute to and maintain design and process documentation
- Continually seek opportunities to improve SLA/Uptime and minimize customer impacts
- Understand, champion, and enforce security and compliance policies and procedures

**What you will bring**:

- Experience designing a high availability publicly facing ecosystem with 24/7 uptime and 99.99%+ SLA
- In-depth experience deploying Azure AKS, Azure Postgres, Azure SQL, Azure Networking, Storage and Log Analytics
- Exposure to Terraform and HashiCorp suite of tools
- Knowledge and understanding of networking technologies. (VPN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Routers, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of the architecture of enterprise-level information technology hardware (e.g., WAN, LAN and computer systems and peripherals) and software platforms.
- Understanding of internet technologies. (Web servers, encryption, XML, HTTP, Web Services, etc.)
- Experience with Databases, SQL, LDAP.
- Azure Solutions Architect Certification
- Working knowledge of Terraform Enterprise (TFE) and associated technologies
- Ability to effectively prioritise deliverables and manage workload to meet deadlines
- The ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
