Palmerston North, New Zealand Public Trust Full time

**Ko wai mātou | About Us**

Public Trust is New Zealand's largest trustee services organisation, providing specialist advice on a range of legal, financial, investment, trust and estate management services to individuals, families, and businesses. As a purpose-driven, values-led organisation, we help people protect what matters most to them and their whanau. Whether it be planning how they want to pass on what matters most to them - their music collection, family heirlooms or KiwiSaver savings - or making sure their wishes are carried out after they're gone, Public Trust is here to help.

**Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role**

As a Trustee, you will have a unique opportunity to care for New Zealanders by helping them protect their families and their future. As a key member of our Retail team, you will:

- Work a hybrid role between our Palmerston North and Whanganui centre.
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service during estate planning conversations, identifying key needs, and offering solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer information and protect sensitive data.
- Conduct Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney interviews for straightforward cases.
- Maintain regular contact with customers and ensure all activities are appropriately recorded.
- Offer outstanding customer service, build trust, and resolve complaints with the customers' best interests at heart.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by role modelling Public Trust's values and supporting the customer centre in reaching its goals.
- Provide front-of-house support and undertake general office administration on a rostered basis.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

You are passionate about creating amazing customer experiences, with a positive attitude, empathy, and resilience. You excel at building rapport, listening and showing empathy with customers and colleagues.
- Experience in estate administration, either through professional roles or personal experience managing a loved one's estate.
- Interest or experience in working with communities, social services, health organisations, or support services.
- Experience working with customers during significant moments in their lives.
- Ability to work unsupervised, problem-solve, show initiative, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Previous experience in a trustee, legal, or financial services role is a plus, as is an understanding of basic accounting concepts.
- Open to Travel, as this role will be based in our Whanganui centre two days a week
