**Opportunity: Build a Ground-Up Geospatial App -**High Responsibility, High Reward**:
TacEdge is offering a rare opportunity for a capable, confident student to lead the development of a brand-new geospatial planning and coordination platform—**from scratch**.

This is not a standard role. There is **no existing development team**, no senior engineers to shadow, and no technical safety net. You’ll be the driving force behind the app’s development. That means taking full responsibility for designing, building, and refining a platform that will be used in complex, high-risk environments like geotechnical engineering, emergency response, and tactical operations.

To be clear: while you’ll have strong support from the business—deep industry knowledge, user insights, commercial and marketing backing—you will be **the expert** when it comes to the app and its development. The technical direction, and day-to-day progress will sit with you.

This level of ownership isn’t for everyone. But if you’re the kind of person who thrives on independence, backs your ability to figure things out, and wants the chance to build something from the ground up, this is your opportunity.

**About You**:

- You are confident in your skills and self-motivated enough to work without technical oversight.
- You’re excited (not intimidated) by the idea that the success of the app will rest largely on your execution.
- You have a strong foundation in app development and can lead the end-to-end build.
- You take pride in delivering thoughtful, user-focused features—especially in high-stakes, real-world contexts.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Leading the development of a cross-platform app from the ground up.
- Collaborating with the founders to define functionality based on real user needs.
- Designing, building, and refining tools that map, annotate, and plan complex field operations.
- Preparing the platform for pilot testing and industry use.
