Senior Rates Officer

**We are the Clutha District Council and we are looking for outstanding talent to join our Corporate Services Team**

You will maintain all Council's rating records in accordance with relevant legislation and ensure that all related monies are collected in a timely and accurate way.

You will also ensure that Council's debt collection criteria are adhered to and that debt levels continue to reduce. You'll handle public inquiries in a competent, courteous, and efficient manner.

Relevant experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.

**Do you have or are you prepared to learn?**
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
- Local Government Knowledge
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and accurate reporting skills
- The ability to work with a wide variety of people across the organisation
