As a tractor / delivery driver, your responsibilities will include driving tractors and driving delivery vans and using orchard Farm implements to harvest, spray pesticides, and collect and deliver kiwifruit bins. You will report to the Orchard Farm Manager and Site Manager, and should be comfortable working alone for long periods.

Position Available: Tractor/Delivery Driver

Location: Bay Of Plenty

Region Pay: $28 per hour

Minimum 40 hours and Maximum Hours will be 65 Per Week

Will Be Required to Travel At Different Sites On Daily Basis

Must Have Valid Driver Licence Class 1 or International Driver Licence equivalent to New Zealand Licence

**Skills**:

- The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment. Experience performing maintenance on tractors and other farming equipment.
- The ability to carry out duties unsupervised, in harsh weather conditions, and during irregular hours when required.
- The ability to follow instructions.
- Superb health and safety knowledge.

To be successful as a tractor driver, you should have good concentration skills and excellent hand-eye coordination. Outstanding tractor/delivery drivers are detail-oriented and demonstrate strength as well as active listening skills.

**Tractor/Driver Responsibilities**:

- Driving tractors and other farm implements.
- Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
- Performing inspections of tractors and attachments and ensuring they are well lubricated.
- Using tractors to transport materials and pull or push Horticultural equipment.
- Operating tractors in fields.
- Reporting any faults or concerns to the Farm Manager.
- Remaining alert while driving and maintaining the appropriate speed limit at all times.
- Operating other farm equipment
- Collect all punnets and load into Delivery Vehicles
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes within the Region
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Complete logs and reports
- Follow H&S regulations and safety standards
- Completing Job Sheets
- Meeting Delivery Deadlines
