Our Opportunity
We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Dairy team. Reporting into the Head of Portfolio - Dairy you will be a key member of the marketing team helping to drive performance across fresh white milk, yoghurt, and more With a great suite of market-leading brands, locally-led strategy, and a culture of “getting stuff done”, you'll have all the tools at your disposal to help drive these important categories in the NZ market.

**As Category Manager, you will**:

- Become the category expert for your portfolio; providing category-led, commercially-relevant insights to enable decision making that drives the strategic direction of our Retail Dairy Business.
- Analyse in-market performance to identify issues and opportunities, utilising multiple data sources to generate insights across the 4P mix.
- Sit on the Dairy Category Lead Team, presenting at key internal commercial forums on category, customer and portfolio performance.
- Lead the category review process for the dairy portfolio with retail customers, helping to build relationships and deliver category-centric insights with actionable plans linked to shopper behaviour.
- Lead the development of annual strategic category plans, working with the Head of Portfolio Dairy to identify growth drivers, and translate into channel-specific, actionable plans.
- Lead one direct report; a Dairy Category Analyst.

About You

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience in Category, Sales and/or Marketing within an FMCG environment or similar environment (Category experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in use of IRI or Nielsen scan data, Homescan, Microsoft suite and exposure to other forms of consumer and shopper insight methods
- An ability to analyse and interpret data from a range of sources & draw valid conclusions
- An ability to communicate complex information in an easily understandable manner to all levels of the business
- Strong commercial & financial acumen
- A growth mindset
