If you cannot get enough of the snow, jumping from ski season to ski season to ride or ski then this is the job for you The Remarkables Custodian Role offers the most flexibility to get your daily lap fix. Ride in the morning and then work in the afternoon. The purpose of the role is to ensure that our base lodge facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest possible standards. There is some manual labour and heavy lifting involved but if you can take it all in your stride and do so with a smile you may be the very person we are after
About the role
- Ensure the base building facilities are cleaned to the highest standard possible by emptying rubbish bins regularly, restocking bathrooms, and vacuuming inside
- Cleaning of the public toilets and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies like soap, toilet paper and hand towels
- Ensuring that all staff office areas are clean and presentable by emptying rubbish bins and vacuuming
- Heavy Machine operation of our glass crusher, compactor and our floor cleaner
- Sorting our recycling streams to make sure all items go to the right place
- Help with Conference set up and Event delivery
- General maintenance roles of stocking firewood, lighting fires on night ski nights and deploying signage and barriers to minimise slip/trip hazards
- Keeping an eye on all public areas to ensure they are safe and well presented
- Ability to set your workflow and interact with every department on the mountain
- Assist other departments during busy periods

About You
- We are seeking self-motivated applicants with a proven commitment to working under pressure in a team environment and can provide 'service with friendliness'
- Ability to drive a manual is a must as the Custodian team is provided with their own company vehicle
- Ability to operate machinery such as industrial vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
- Previous experience in a caretaking role would be considered an advantage
- Happy to assist in other departments and take on additional duties as required
- Applicants must be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions

Further Information
- Weekend and afternoon work is required (8:30am - 5pm) and (4pm-12am)
