Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.

**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty are looking for a Registered Nurse for a Public Health Nursing position. This is a permanent position based at Whakatāne Hospital working 32 hours per week. The role offers a degree of autonomy, amazing job satisfaction and team support.

You will work with school age children, their families and whānau in the community to address a wide range of health and social issues.

A good understanding of the issues facing children will be an advantage.

This position will also support the School based Immunisation Team so knowledge of immunisations and an Authorised Vaccinator Certificate will be an advantage. You will need to overcome challenges and cope with the unexpected.
