About the roleThe Policy Manager (Cross Agency) position is one of four policy managers who work together to lead, advise, and influence decision making on key issues and opportunities to improve the medium to long-term wellbeing of Pacific people and communities in Aotearoa.Our position has responsibility to lead cross agency policy collaboration to ensure the delivery of the All-of-Government Pacific Wellbeing Strategy.What you'll doIn this role you will lead a small enthusiastic team who work collaboratively with individuals and groups across government to deliver an exciting policy work programme across the government system. This work programme is at a stage now where the priority is about co-designing how government might partner with Pacific communities to deliver on their needs and aspirations. You will also be supporting the whole business unit of Policy, Research and Evaluation, Housing and Operational Policy by providing professional expertise in quality assurance, and comment and feedback on policy work by other agencies, particularly those relating to Pacific people and communities.We are looking for skills, and experience in the following areas
- Experience in a similar policy management position, with proven networks across government.
- A mature understanding of Pacific communities in Aotearoa with experience to back this up.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining relationships at a senior level, including across government and in Pacific communities and/ or providers.
- Proven successful record of delivering policy advice at a senior level.
