Assistant Gardener

We are looking for an Assistant Gardener, to work in a team of two. This role is based on the North Shore and is dedicated to the care and maintenance of the gardens and grounds within a gated community. Our teams across Ventia ensure that our work is delivered safely and on time, to the highest of standards.

You will gain satisfaction in this role, both from the appreciation from the residents toward your work and through developing your skill set and practical knowledge. You will work closely with an experienced team leader who will provide daily training and support.

This is a great opportunity to start a career in Horticulture or Openspace Maintenance, as you will be able to grow both in the role and within the company.

**The Role**:
Your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Daily gardening, mowing
- Maintenance of common areas and individual gardens
- Delivering seasonal tasks such as annual bed rotations, fertilising, composting, mulching and planting.
- Contributing to a positive team culture that promotes respect, professionalism, and excellence.
- Equipment maintenance and care

**About You**:
This customer requires the highest of standards, and therefore requires a site team that takes pride in doing a great job, knowing that the work that we produce makes a real difference to the residents.

You will have a passion for gardens and horticulture, and ideally have had experience working outside, you will have a good level of physical fitness be self-motivated, and keen to learn.
- Working outdoors or Garden Maintenance experience and a genuine interest in Horticulture.
- Experience working in environments where professionalism is important.
- Experience with various types of machinery and equipment - mowers, vehicles, weedeaters etc...
