**About the Role**:
**Working as a Renal Research Fellow**
Nephrology encompasses care of patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis and renal transplantation. The Renal Research Fellow position is available at Counties Manukau Health, and offers a unique opportunity to work in international and local nephrology trials.
The Research Fellow position also involves some clinical Nephrology cover
- including clinics, haemodialysis unit cover, inpatient work and taking part in the Renal Registrar out of hours on call roster and Medicine Registrar night roster.
For Advanced Trainees - three months of the run may be accredited towards Nephrology. For Basic Trainees - three months of the run may be accredited to core Nephrology and three months to non-core Medicine (supervised research) as approved by local DPE. Counties Manukau Health offers a structured clinical teaching programme and teaching opportunities; and is affiliated with the University of Auckland School of Medicine.
**Renal Research Fellow job**
This run is six months in length however applicants may express preference for a double run - i.e. 12 months. **About you**
