Te Pou Hauora Māori (Māori Health Directorate) is looking for a Senior Policy Analyst to join their Strategy and Policy team. Manatū Hauora is the chief steward of the health system. Te Pou Hauora Māori is the Ministry's primary advisor on Māori health policy, strategy, system performance for Māori, and Māori Crown relations.
In this role you will lead and contribute to the development and delivery of quality policy advice, strategy development and performance monitoring. There will be ample opportunities for you to work through the full policy process and lead complex and challenging policy initiatives in collaboration with others to drive health system change.
You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team where building trusting and productive relationships across the Ministry, health sector, government, and other external stakeholders is highly valued.

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Thorough understanding of public policy and experience in policy development
- Demonstrated knowledge of the machinery of government and political processes and structures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to be clear and succinct in a range of settings
