**About the role |Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga**

We are currently recruiting an Anatomical Pathologist to join our supportive and committed Histology team in a permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE). This role reports to the Managing Pathologist to be based at Pathlab Waikato in our Hamilton laboratory.

Pathlab is renowned for our robust systems and innovative solutions such the Digital imaging system. We are proud to offer the ability to report histology from a Primary Whole Slide Image, a first for New Zealand.

As well as being early adopters of the Leica Cerebro sample tracking system which is fully integrated into the LIS. These technologies have underpinned a period of sustained and improved performance as we move toward our vision to provide world-class laboratory services.

You will join our team of 18 anatomical pathologists, providing pathology services to our 4 public hospitals and 3 large private hospitals. We report histology on a wide range of disciplines including breast, urology dermatology, GI, gynae histology. In addition to histology reporting, you will be joining our pathology team to provide MDM services using our digital system on a rostered basis, a full job description is available..

**About you | He kōrero mōu**

To be successful in this role you must:

- Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists of Australia (RCPA) or equivalent.
- Hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
- Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Histopathology and Cytopathology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical staff and laboratory staff.
- Be able to impart knowledge to others and demonstrate a continuous quality improvement mindset.
