**The Opportunity - due to international relocation**

Join our collaborative HR Business Partnering team, who work with our Executive Leaders and their teams of people managers. A trusted advisor supporting leaders and over 1000 employees nationally, you’ll hit the ground running, working independently on varied HR matters and building on your current HR advisory experience, to undertake the full range of HR generalist people and performance activities across the employee lifecycle.

With varied, dynamic, meaningful work delivered at pace, your contribution will yield measurable results and drive value across the organisation as you support the team and managers with advisory activities and supporting documentation.

In addition to advising managers directly on HR matters, you'll develop and deliver processes, guidance, checklists, and templates, and lead and assist in the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives, policies, and procedures. You’ll utilise your exceptional communication skills and eye for detail when producing, reviewing and presenting information to and for the business. Your process improvement skills will be fully utilised, and you will also act as backup to our HR Coordinators and Business Partners.

Other interesting work may include day to day management of external HR supplier relationships and supporting diversity & inclusion, immigration processes and parental leave initiatives.

** What will you bring?**

You’ll be known for your influencing skills, work ethic and ability to produce high quality outputs and outcomes. You’ll have good knowledge of NZ employment law, and people and performance practices, and through your sound HR advice, will have built enduring relationships with managers at all levels.

We are a data driven technical organisation, and you'll enjoy being intellectually challenged, and working where facts and evidence, principles and practices inform commercially astute HR recommendations.

You'll build on your current experience and expand your breadth and depth of HR practice with a focus on optimising productivity, commercial outcomes and organisational effectiveness.

** To be considered your CV and cover letter will demonstrate**:

- A relevant degree (Psychology, Human Resources, Management, Law etc) and proven experience working independently in a busy and varied HR advisory role delivering advice and support to managers, preferably in a commercially driven context
- Outstanding verbal and written communication/influencing skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills combined with the ability to deliver on multiple varied tasks and changing priorities
- Adaptability and the ability to work in an evolving environment, embracing learning, challenges and change as opportunities

Whilst not essential, previous experience in data analytics to generate insights would be advantageous.

** Join us at Transpower**

Aotearoa is powered by the people who work here. Every home, every marae, every electric vehicle, every hospital relies on the electricity we manage and deliver. This is your opportunity to join us on a mission that affects all New Zealanders, the economy and the planet.

With over 28 nationalities, our people provide diverse perspectives, knowledge, and deep and varied experience which they love to share and which we celebrate. We work in the office or on-site for a minimum of three days each week, which helps us build and maintain relationships, support learning, deliver outcomes, and sustain our culture. This approach also offers staff the flexibility they need for both work and personal commitments, with adaptable daily start and finish times.

A great range of health and wellness benefits are available including health insurance for you and your whanau - check them out here.
