Painter / Handyman

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter / Handyman to join our team on part time / casual basis to assist with corrective and preventative maintenance on our equipment & buildings at our Horotiu processing plant. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will perform painting and general maintenance duties.

**The role is primarily responsible for**:

- Upkeep of the Internal & External buildings on the AFFCO Horotiu Site.
- Performing preventative maintenance activities to maximise equipment lifespan.

**Handyman services including but not limited to**:

- Exterior and interior painting
- Cladding repairs and/or replacement
- Maintain and organize tool set and maintenance supply closet
- Assists with the general maintenance of plant
- Strong and comfortable with moving and climbing ladders
- Good organizational skills; detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and perform moderate to heavy manual labour.
- Ability to work irregularly scheduled hours including overtime and weekends if necessary.
- Working knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance best practice
