With an eye for detail and a steady hand you will be confident in operating a Grader Machine across a range of situations including high shoulder removal, unsealed road maintenance, pavement construction, and final trim grading. You’ll also:

- Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earther, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
- Prepare and position plant for operation
- Work from drawings, markers and verbal instructions
- Service, lubricate, clean and refuel plant and preform minor adjustments and repairs

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

With experience operating Graders within the civil construction industry, you’ll also be a team player and confident operating independently as required. You’ll also have:

- A Class 2 Driver Licence with Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsements
- Have practical work experience in road construction and civil
- A passion for working outdoors and keeping physically fit
- Show commitment to safe work practices
