Your focus will predominantly lie with ensuring our compliance with ESC requirements, as well as providing advice on environmental obligations under the resource consent and contract.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide effective project HSE support
- Provide effective project construction leadership and support in all HSE matters
- Ensure compliance of HSE systems and processes at the project site
- Ensure compliance with statuatory legislation for Workplace, Health, Safety and Environment
- Coordinate and conduct inspections
- Provide project leadership team HSE reports as requested
- Ensure compliance of HSE training within the project
- Implement project HSE documentation
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders
- Develop and assist coordination for Project HSE Delivery plan and initiatives
- Ensure all work carried out complies with Vestas Health, Safety, and Environment requirements in accordance with Vestas policies objectives and targets
- Disseminate HSE related information to project personnel

**Qualifications**
- Diploma /Cert IV OHS/WHS
- Environmental management qualification considered favourable
- A current white card or equivalent for the construction industry is mandatory or must acquire prior to appointment

**Competencies**
- Previous experience as a HSE professional in a wind farm project or major construction project
- Understanding and implementation of HSE management systems and certification process (ISO9001, 14001, 18001, 45001, AS4801)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with both contractor and Vestas construction teams
- A strong commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality
- Excellent time management skills
- High level understanding of HSE information and manage effective responses
- Ability to participate effectively as part of a small diverse team and respond to a changing and dynamic environment
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Project and Excel
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment management and land rehabilitation processes
- Experience undertaking environmental reporting
- Experience driving a positive environmental culture
