**Network Controller**

**New Plymouth**

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career adventure right here in New Zealand? We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our Network Operation Centre team in New Plymouth.

As a vital part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the real-time operation of our High Voltage electricity distribution networks on a shift basis.

Our Network Controllers are the driving force behind our success. During the recent Cyclone Gabrielle, they collaborated seamlessly with other teams to ensure the safety and rapid reconnection of customers and communities. This fast-paced role involves coordinating and monitoring field activities in response to planned network outages, fault restoration, and emergencies.

As a member of our Network Control team, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge ADMS/OMS technology as we continue to innovate and improve. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety of people, protecting assets, maintaining electricity network reliability, and facilitating operational communication. We provide extensive training to ensure your confidence and competence in the role.
- A level 5 Electrical Registration, a background in Electricity Distribution Network operating would be desirable
- Exceptional technical skills
- To be a committed team player
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to be confident and decisive during demanding situations (such as storms, unplanned outages)
- To be highly competent with technology

**It would be great if you have knowledge of**:

- High voltage isolation and access procedures and network operating practices
- Risk management concepts
- Electricity Network Health and Safety requirements.
- Electrical Protection Systems
