**About the role**

Reporting to a Senior Engineer in our Marine Industrial Design (MID) department, this role will provide Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering consultancy solutions across a number of market sectors including superyachts, fishing vessels, ferries, workboats, tugs, barges. You will assist in our contract commitments to providing the in-service support for the Royal New Zealand Navy and other projects for NZ Defence Force.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Provide engineering design and drafting services to projects across a range of engineering fields.
- Deliver projects and output to clients, liaising face to face with clients and working with your peers in the MID team.
- Undertake analysis and calculations in engineering areas which include structural, stability and systems.
- Projects may involve site visits to vessels and clients in the region (North Island) and occasionally further away in NZ (South Island) or occasionally abroad.

**About you**

You are a L1 Naval Architect who has completed their degree and has some experience in a marine sector.

You will have experience working in a multidisciplinary design office where you use your skills and CAD tools to produce analysis, calculations, reports, modelling and drawings.

You will be familiar with working in a project-based environment and you will be experienced in delivering projects on time, in budget and to specification.

Agile working conditions on offer working from either our Auckland, Nelson or Whangarei offices with hybrid work from home available also.
