Log Yard Coordinator

About the Job

The Log Yard Coordinator manages the flow of logs in our Log Marshalling yards where logs arrive and are measured and barcoded then stored ready for export.

When log vessels are being loaded the Log Yard Coordinator is responsible for calling cargo for the vessel and checking the yard is prepared to ensure the correct logs are loaded onto the right vessel. This role also has responsibility for liaising with the ship planner and directing the plant operators and shuttle truck drivers who move the logs around ready for loading. A well organised and tidy yard is important for health & safety, efficiency and to ensure all our customers logs are accounted for and correctly stored to avoid damage.

About you

Ideally you will have previous experience as a Checkpoint Processor/Log Scaler in a Log Marshalling environment, with demonstrated fluency of MPI fumigation requirements and processes. Knowledge of inventory control/stock management would be beneficial. You will have strong administration and organisational skills, with good accuracy and an ability to communicate with a variety of people. Working to deadlines will challenge and motivate you and you will hold a full class1 driver licence.
