You will need to have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same industry/field, OR have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates. **Tasks and responsibilities**: - Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before starting each job - Identifying and selecting the right materials, cleaning and preparing metal stock - Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines - Fitting and assembling metal components - Fabricating parts together and metal finishing as specified - Attaching fittings and completing the product build - Quality checks on completed products - Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks against specifications - At all times using supplied PPE. - Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe; - Assisting team members in other sections as directed. **To be successful you will need to**: - Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions - Be physically fit and willingness to work hard - Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively - have "can-do" attitude We are committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
