**He aha te whiwhinga mahi? What’s the opportunity?**
We have an opportunity for a Graduate Project Engineer to join our team. We're looking for a person with an intuitive and flexible mind-set, who can assess and improve upon a variety of systems and processes. You must be able to liaise with a range of people and organisations and have the attention to detail and excellent communication skills necessary to work for a market leading company.

Working across our Optimisation and Project Delivery Teams, you will visit a wide range of industrial sites assessing energy, utility and process systems. You will formulate improvement initiatives (including concept design), prepare business cases and project manage their implementation.

DETA has offices in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington and Tauranga Moana/Tauranga.
**Initially this position will be based in the Ōtautahi/Christchurch office.**

**_To be successful you will:_**
- _Have a tertiary qualification, such as BE or NZCE, or a suitable project management qualification_
- _Have a strong interest/experience in industrial processing, and utility use systems_
- _Be comfortable working on industrial sites as well as in a professional office environment_
- _Have excellent communication skills and be comfortable liaising with a range of clients _
- _Have the flexibility to travel regularly _
