We are currently looking for a **Full Time Maintenance Technician **in Palmerston North to join our crew:
**Your work**:
Your main role would be to ensure vehicles are prepared (serviced, maintained and repaired) to thl's standards. Vehicle presentation and functionality should be delivered with a high level of customer service. Efficiency and productivity targets should be met in order to ensure success of the wider workshop.
- Subject matter expert
- Ability to assess repair vs replacement of parts.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Inspect and test basic electrical components.
- Carry out basic RV house repairs
- Carry out accessory fit outs as required
- Ensure that vehicle accessories are installed as per required fitment, using the correct equipment and tools.
- Advice customers on good vehicle use
- Complete preventative vehicle maintenance - replacing fluids, lubricating parts
- Diagnose issues timely and accurately
- Complete all repairs and job to a high technical standard.
- Quality control of maintenance and repair work
- Complies with legal vehicle requirements and **_thl _**:

- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; and reading technical publications
- Escalate any stock, equipment, or repair issues in your work area.
- Take an active role in wider Palmerston North team, raising concerns and providing feedback for improvement.

**Skills & Experience**
- Auto Electrician
- Mechanical aptitude or general knowledge/passion for the automotive industry
- 12v electrical, electronics or similar fields is desired
- Restricted Drivers Licence as a minimum
- Attention to detail.
- Clear communicator
- Able to work well autonomously and as part of a team.
- Reliable
- Planning, and organisational skills
- The desire, and ability to always champion quality customer service.
- Able to cope in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to changing environment.
