**The Role**

The role of Assistant Accountant will report to a Financial Accounting team leader and be fully responsible for owning the preparation of the monthly financial accounting process. You will be responsible for:

- Monthly Bank & General ledger reconciliations
- Accounts Payable payment checking
- Preparation of month end P&L accounts and commentary
- Assist with year-end Audit requirements
- Assist with rebates
- Ad hoc support to the Finance team

**Skills & Experience**

To be considered for this role, we are looking for a someone stepping up into an Assistant Accountant role who is hands on, but has the ability to cope with change and be adaptable. You will definitely need to be system savvy as this company operates on multiple entites. One thing is certain about this business; they are never dull and are always involved in change so your ability to be flexible, learn and take on new things is paramount. Your strong reconciliation background in a large volume environment will put you in good stead in this team. You will enjoy taking ownership, have strong communication skills and enjoy being part of a larger team.
