Powder Coater

Our reputable client is a New Zealand based manufacturer of high-quality commercial equipment with a global reach in their distribution. We are on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Painter Powder Coater to join their team on the afternoon shift.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Coat weldments, using either paint and powder techniques and equipment
- Prepare components and weldments
- Perform required quality checks
- Participate in daily production toolbox meetings
- Participate in a culture on continuous improvement, identifying and reporting opportunities for improved safety, quality, and efficiency
- Blasting of weldments when required
- Taking ownership and responsibility, consistently producing high quality finishes

**Skills Required**:

- Previous painting or powder coating experience
- Excellent communication skills to engage and interact with other team members, team leaders and managers
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience and understanding of Lean manufacturing
- Strong team player
