Mō te tūnga | About the role We are seeking an inquisitive, collaborative, and problem-solving professional for our System Intelligence team. The team is tasked with using a wide range of data, intelligence and modelling to keep HUD, other agencies and Ministers informed on what is happening in the housing and urban systems and where those trends are taking us. Your job is to further our understanding by translating data and evidence into meaningful, actionable insights for policy and senior decision makers using a range of statistical modelling techniques. Working in an, interesting and evolving environment you will be responsible for assisting in the development of key pieces of modelling work. Depending on your skills and experience you could be:

- Assisting demand model (microsimulation) R code documentation and maintenance.
- Helping develop and test new measures and indicators of land supply efficiency as part of a collaborative housing technical working group that includes Reserve Bank of New Zealand and Treasury.
- Running requests of existing modelling processes in R and producing model outputs.
- Working with policy teams to translate policy questions into scenarios or settings for model outputs.
- Good programming skills (R Statistical language required).
- Knowledge of modelling techniques.
- No fear of asking questions or saying 'I don't understand'
- Agility and flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
