We are currently looking for a Retail Assistant for our busy store in Ashburton.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and submit daily reports (sales, inventory) to the retail store manager.
- Performed cashier duties; and aided in preparing daily sales reports, deposit preparation, change orders, and register set up and close out Responsible for cash security; prepare daily bank deposit and match cash with daily sales summary
- Assisted in controlling proper inventory levels through ordering of stock, daily and spot inventory checks, assuring correct receiving and stocking of merchandise and placing correct codes on stock and in the register
- Identify staff requirement
- training and monitoring all staff performance.
- Organize regular stock-take/ inventory - Ensure that products received correspond to orders
- Responsible for stocking of merchandise in the retail area and maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.
- Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as apparent or as assigned.
- Assisting customers in making product selections and deals appropriately.
- Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards are obeyed.
- Ensure compliance of all store operations to all applicable laws and regulations.

**Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed**

**Requirements**:

- Excellence in customer service delivery.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work weekends and evening shifts

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ashburton, Canterbury: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
