**Hours of Work**: Mon to Sunday (min 30 to max 40 hours per week)

**Job Description**:

- We are looking for full-time retail assistants for our busy Indian grocery store in Christchurch, Canterbury. Retail sales assistants need to be reasonably fit and healthy, as they spend a lot of time on their feet and may do heavy lifting. A Sale Assistant must know how to deal with customers, assist with their purchases, price enquiries and special orders, advise customers how to use and care for products. You will be working under our store manager and will help him in his daily management tasks.

**Responsibilities**:
- Serving the customers with great help and making sure that they receive excellent service.
Reviewing the stock, display the products on shelves so customer can find easily.
Checking the customer feedback in -store and respond them as per store policy.
Ensuring compliance with the health and safety policies and follow them accurately.
Any other duties that may be asked from time to time.
Work on checkout tills and serve customers with friendly approach.

**Required Skills Set but not limited to**:
- Preferred retail experience but not necessary.
They should be flexible about working hours (including evenings, weekends and public holidays if required)
Customer service
Visual display and merchandising
Other work that involves helping staff and customers
Good communicator
Friendly and helpful
Honest and reliable
Free from drug and criminal history
Passionate about the retail and long-term career in retail
Knowledge of Indian grocery products
Physically fit and healthy
Can speak Punjabi & English language
