Our client Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, well-organised Finance Administrator to join their team. Established in 1995, our client provides quality health, social and education services for all who reside within the rohe of Tuwharetoa Ki Kawerau and Eastern Bay of Plenty.
**He aha te tūnga | About the role**
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all finance procedures and the day-to-day financial operations for Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora are achieved. This role works closely with management and the Board to ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial information as well as speed and efficiency of financial reporting.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Payroll, from setting up of new employees in their system, through to processing, reconciling wages in the general ledger, running reports, and PAYE processing
- Accounts payable, preparing payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, responding to creditor enquiries, running reports
- Accounts receivable
- Handling account enquires, record creation and maintenance
- Cash book and general ledger administration
- Assist with financial management as directed
- A relevant professional qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential
- A minimum of five years book-keeping/accounting experience
- Payroll processing experience
- A sound knowledge of Xero, NZA Gold or similar accounting package
- A thorough understanding of payroll processes
- Experience and working knowledge in accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
It goes without saying that you will be professional, organised, trustworthy, be able to work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail. Being analytical, strategic and showing initiative with strong business awareness are all desirable qualities too.
