**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

The ORA Wellington Community Team has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our service. This role is a community based role, working within an interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively to support patients through equipment, modification and rehab solutions to maximise their independence at home. There will also be a rehabilitation component to this role as well when required - working in a rehabilitative way to improve patients well-being.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team**

The ORA Community Services work with people with acquired neurological, long term, or age-related conditions including stroke, dementia, frailty and post trauma conditions. The teams are multidisciplinary including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-language Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Liaison Nurses and Allied Health Assistants, with close links with Nurse Practitioners, Geriatricians and a Rehabilitation Physician. There are three community teams geographically located in Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti.

We offer on-going professional development opportunities including inter-professional practice training, professional support, profession specific training though the relevant professional leaders and clinical supervision. Cultural professional supervision is available from Māori and Pacific Health teams.
