**Restore. Empower. Uplift. Be part of something bigger.**
Are you driven to support whānau on a journey of healing and transformation? Te Whānau o Waipareira is on the lookout for passionate Family Harm Kaimahi to join our Kōrure Whānau team. Be part of a team where every action, every kōrero, every connection makes a real difference.
Our Family Harm Kaimahi walk alongside whānau through two critical kaupapa:
- **Whānau Resilience**: supporting both those impacted by family harm and those choosing to change harmful behaviours.
- **Te Huringa ō Te Ao**: working specifically with tāne to support sustainable behaviour change and restore whānau wellbeing.
Together, we’re restoring mauri ora and building futures grounded in aroha, accountability, and mana motuhake.
**Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing**
- Support tāne and whānau to heal, grow and lead their own journeys of transformation.
- Facilitate referrals and build access to wrap-around services across health, social, education, and justice sectors.
- Coordinate and deliver programmes and interventions grounded in Te Ao Māori, that foster long-term change.
- Build trusted relationships with whānau, community agencies, iwi partners, and other service providers.
- Contribute to planning, progress tracking, and accurate reporting — ensuring integrity and care in all documentation.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | What You’ll Bring**
- 3-5 years’ experience supporting whānau, ideally in family harm, advocacy, or social work roles.
- Deep commitment to Te Ao Māori, with confidence in Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori.
- Experience working with tāne and whānau navigating family harm or complex dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of the Waitākere community and support networks.
- Relevant qualification in Social Work, Health, or a related field (desirable).
- Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
**He aha ai mātou? | Why Us?**
At Waipareira, you're never alone in your mahi. You’re part of a whānau-first environment where your growth is nurtured, your wellbeing is supported, and your contribution matters.
We offer:
- A close-knit, passionate, and supportive rōpū
- Ongoing training, supervision, and cultural development
- Offices based in the heart of West Auckland, near public transport and shops
- A place where Te Ao Māori is lived every day — karakia, waiata, pōwhiri, and wānanga are part of our rhythm.
**All applicants must have a valid New Zealand residency or work visa.**
We do not accept submissions from any recruitment agency.
