**Job responsibilities**:
- Manage all aspects of the yard independently as a profit-center
- Responsible for maintaining high quality of product and service standards
- Act as a company representative for all company alliances, suppliers and vendors
- Manage suppliers and negotiate contracts for automotive parts, insurance, etc
- Collect, analyze and act on any competitor price movement and promotions
- Formulating and implementing innovative selling and marketing policies
- Responsible for setting prices and adjusting the selling prices when needed
- Responsible for running advertising campaigns and organizing marketing promotions
- Responsible for all social-media marketing including updating of website, Facebook Page, and advertisements on TradeMe, Dealerbase, Auto Trader, Auto Base, etc.
- Maintain contact with all customers to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Manage vehicles stock auditing on a periodic basis to ensure adequate stock range
- Maintain full range of vehicles in the yard and place orders according to the demand
- Check all inwards vehicles and present weekly audit reports to the management
- Resolves vendors related issues regarding faulty products, refunds, payments, etc
- Responsible for dealing with new sales enquiries generated from the website, walk-ins, advertisements, promotions, etc
- Assist customers in selecting a suitable vehicle that meets their requirements within their budget, arranging car loans, negotiating, and payment instructions
- Conduct price negotiation to strike an optimal bargain for both client and dealer
- Manage the closing of sales deals ensuring explanation of vehicle warranty terms, completion of sales contracts, payment and delivery of auto units.
- Manage all customer complaints amicably and maintain high service standards
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and monthly sales transaction reports
- Prepares accounts payable and receivable and assist with preference payment list
- Monitor payments to invoices and ensure timely payments are made to vendors
- Present regular reports to management on sales activities and maximized profits
- Responsible for recruitment, supervision and performance management of staff
- Supervise and review performance of car groomers to ensure excellent efficiency
- Organize induction and product training for all new staff
- Prepare periodic shift roster for all staff and maintain timesheets
- Attend auto sales events/shows to increase network and improve on sales knowledge
- Responsible for the administration, accounting, and customer service standards
- Establish and implement office routines and filing systems, including proper maintenance of company financial records
- Proactively manage and arrange debt collection through agencies, if necessary
- Ensure the business is run in strict accordance with the commercial laws like the Fair-Trading Act, Consumer Guarantees Act, etc
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Security Environment standards
- Maintain First Aid Kit, Fire Safety and other safety equipment onsite in the store
**Prerequisites/Minimum Requirements**:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business/Management
- Atleast 2 years’ experience in the retail industry
- Ready to work in a rostered 7-day week operation
- Clean Police Clearance Record
- Successful candicate must be able to legally live and work in New Zealand. _
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $21.20 - $27.00 per hour
