The Transport Services division here at Downer has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work in Waipawa. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual interested in becoming part of the crew as a Driver Operator as we carry out work in the Waipawa area.

**About the role**:
In this role, you will be working in a welcoming crew operating our machinery from excavators, diggers, rollers, compactors and trucks as we carry out work on our contracts in Waipawa. This position will also require general maintenance work, so if you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet in our beautiful city, this could be the position for you.

**About you**:
With some experience operating civil machinery under your belt, you will be confident operating within a team and independently as required. You will be comfortable using machinery and hand tools to get the job done. You will also:

- Hold a minimum Class 2 full New Zealand driver’s licence (WTR endorsements preferred)
- Be reliable and hard working
- Show commitment to safe work practises
- Be flexible in picking up occasional weekend work and on-call shifts

You’ll have a good sense of humour with the eagerness to come and get your hands dirty.
