**About the role**:
We need a person who has a passion for temporary traffic management to keep Auckland safe and moving while activities on the road network are underway. If you have the drive to influence change, the skills to educate combined with experience in temporary traffic management (or related skills / experience), you could be one of our traffic maestros required for our centrally based team.

Auckland Transports' Site Traffic Management Advisors monitor temporary traffic management at work sites on the road network, engage with stakeholders at almost all levels in organisations and are at the forefront of influencing improvements in their successful implementation.

This role will require you to be on-call as rostered once you have satisfactorily completed the necessary formal and informal training. Some flexible working is available.
- Sound interpersonal ability and an effective communicator in all mediums
- Quality relationship management skills combined the expertise to persuade, influence and educate others
- Tact, diplomacy and conflict resolution skills
- Energy, maturity and resilience including the courage to stand your ground when required
- Sound knowledge of the relevant codes and standards such as Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management
- Current clean full driver's license (car)
- Ideally at least 2 years' experience in a transport operational role preferably with a temporary traffic management or safety focus
- A tertiary qualification is preferred but not mandatory
