**Location**: Ponsonby, Auckland
**Position**: Part-Time Cook/Café All-Rounder
**Hours**: Up to 24 hours per week (including at least one weekend day)
**Cafe Opening Hours**: Mon-Fri 7:30 am-2:30 pm, Sat-Sun 8:00 am-3:00 pm

**About Us**:
Barker's Foodstore & Eatery is tucked away behind Ponsonby Central, overlooking the greenery of Brown Street Reserve. Barkers of Geraldine, established in 1969, is a favourite in many Kiwi households, and we still produce all our products on the corner of the original family farm to this day.

**The Role**:
We are seeking a part time Hospitality enthusiast to join our small team. Someone who can cook and also likes to get out of the kitchen, joining with the FOF team to create a great guest experience.

Specifically searching for a reliable, quick-thinking individual who likes to get creative and is keen to help us with our goal of showcasing our amazing Barker's products in all of our food and beverages.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Cook a variety of brunch menu items and preparing cabinet food.
- Assist the kitchen team in menu development.
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Prepare barista-style coffee (training provided and ongoing).
- Maintain flexibility to work both in the kitchen and front of house.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Experience in cooking, ideally in a café or brunch setting.
- A quick-thinking, reliable, and creative individual.
- Ability to work early shifts (starting as early as 6 am) no late nights required (except special occasions).
- A friendly attitude and willingness to engage with guests.
- Barista skills would be a bonus, but not essential.
