We have a fantastic opportunity for a Driver Trainer to join our team based in East Tamaki supporting our Upper North Island division.

**The role**

Reporting to the Operations Manager - you will be responsible for building the capability of our Drivers through induction programmes, training, ongoing competency assessments, coaching and mentoring. Assisting staff to reach and maintain the required competency standard in accordance with NZQA and industry standards.

**About you**

To thrive in this position, you should have a wealth of experience as a driver and possess expertise across a diverse range of vehicles within the transport industry including the sideload. Ideally, you would hold SAFED certification, be registered as an assessor with Connexis and MITO, and possess a strong practical understanding of NZQA and industry training processes and standards. A Certificate in Adult Teaching would be a valuable asset However, if you currently lack these certifications, this presents an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills, as we offer training for these qualifications

Additionally, you should exhibit effective communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, self-motivation, and the ability to connect with individuals at various levels, from our drivers to regional managers. Proficiency in MS Office is a prerequisite. While being a NZTA approved course provider would be advantageous, it is not mandatory.
