**About the role**:
You will be walking into an energetic environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes rather than micro-managing work and tasks. You will be given autonomy to work in a way that gets the best results and will be expected to take responsibility and make things happen.

This role is permanent, full-time (minimum of 40 hours per week) where you will be teaching our Level 2 / 3 or 4 Certificate programme. You will be working with youth from 15-19 years old, giving them a chance to succeed in the education sector though a sport, exercise and fitness-based curriculum. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

- Deliver NZQA learning objectives in a way that brings our curriculum alive for the student
- Mentoring students and tracking/monitoring of our student success
- Stay abreast of latest industry/teaching trends and recommendations
- Meeting NZIS targets for student achievement and work placement
- Relevant sport, exercise, and recreation Industry stakeholder engagement

**The ideal person will be able to**:

- Relate to youth and want to make things happen for them
- Provide learning in an interesting, fun and relevant way that meets the needs of the students who have just left school or returning to study
- Share their passion for navigating pathways into the future for our students
- Drive and deliver achievement for our students
- Build positive relationships with students and their whānau
- Connect with and support our youth alongside other youth organisations within the community
- Use their expertise, skills and knowledge to pass on valuable life skills

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- A genuine passion for helping youth achieve their educational goals
- To use MSOffice 365 apps and our cloud based apps to manage planning, attendance, results, and outcomes
- Develop and collate Literacy and Numeracy portfolios with students
- Deliver sessions and assess student achievement against the New Zealand Qualification Framework
- Adult teaching experience and holding the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (NCALNE) (Level 5) would be an advantage, however professional development will be offered
