**Job Summary**

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts to transport harvested vegetables, supplies, and packaging materials within the farm premises, packing sheds, and storage areas. This role supports the post-harvest handling, storage, and dispatch of produce while ensuring safety and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate forklifts to move vegetable bins, pallets, and materials around the farm, packing sheds, and cool rooms.
- Load and unload trucks with harvested vegetables and farm supplies.
- Safely transport produce from harvesting areas to processing or storage areas.
- Assist with packing, grading, and dispatching produce during peak harvest periods.
- Conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance of forklift machinery.
- Comply with farm safety protocols and hygiene standards.
- Keep accurate records of produce movements and assist with inventory tracking.
- Support general farm or shed duties when required.
- NZQF Level 4 qualification,OR
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Basic knowledge of post-harvest handling and cool chain logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and fast-paced environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.
