We are looking for a male live-in Housekeeper/receptionist to join our backpackers. This is a paid position with up to 25-30 hours per week (maybe more depending on the business). Subsidized Accommodation would be provided.
We have 42 rooms in our hostel, situated in Hamilton CBD. We host guests from all over the globe, tourists, backpackers, business people, and emergency housing people (Work and Income).

The Ideal person should have the following attributes:
Good Computer literacy
A high level of written and spoken English skills and impeccable personal grooming and a good physique is required
Pass Drug and Alcohol Test
No criminal convictions

Your main duties will include:
Resolving customer concerns with empathy, understanding, and with the highest priority
Attending night phone calls and resolving guest complaints
Monitor CCTV and respond to unruly behaviour or suspicious activity.
Monitor noise levels to ensure the environment is respectful of other guests.
Monitor cars in the car park so only guests’ vehicles are parked in the allocated car parks.
Ensure all guests obey the Hostel’s “House Rules”
Attending housekeeping/ reception duties when required
Previous experience in the same capacity would be preferred but not essential.
