The purpose of our group, through demonstrating sound commercial acumen is to provide business planning which includes National Land Transport Programme (NLTP), financial, investment, and assurance services for Waka Kotahi and the land transport sector, ensuring value for money and expected benefits are being realised, enabling our organisation to run efficiently and effectively. We deliver corporate services that underpin effective performance, including legal, governance, risk and assurance, business planning budgeting, programme management, business support, and corporate properties and workplace services. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity' The purpose of the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) Programme (the Programme) is to establish a single ticketing solution for public transport (bus, rail, and ferry) across New Zealand through collaboration between Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) and Waka Kotahi. The solution will be a next generation, single, national, public transport ticketing and payment solution that will transform the customer experience and create a flexible, modern, fit-for-purpose system. Our NTS Programme Assurance Lead ensures that the Programme's products and services meet predefined acceptability thresholds. They plan, coordinate, and implement quality assurance processes to improve the Programmes efficiency and quality. You will lead assurance monitoring and participate in key deliverable and QA reviews. You will maintain assurance registers and documentation and provide governance. Analysis will be utilised to look for continuous improvement in the assurance plan and activities. Your role will manage internal health checks and identify areas for preventative quality control, proactively reviewing key programmes controls regularly. You will participate in key deliverable QA reviews and define assurance roles and responsibilities. Ko koe tēnei | About you' To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience leading an Assurance programme and/or Assurance Management
- Strong working knowledge of Programme and Project Assurance frameworks, procedures and processes
- Proven working knowledge of wider programme and technical methodologies that align with Assurance e.g. the software development lifecycle
- Previous experience working on a large Programme of work (preferably in the NZ Public sector)
- Ability to communicate complex Assurance concepts and plans to a wide range of Stakeholders up to Governance level
- Proven experience in engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to ensure agreed processes are followed
- Ability to engage and work with external providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong thought leadership skills

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector. Qualifications:

- Relevant tertiary qualification desirable
