Our Opportunity
- To ensure all ranged Goodman Fielder products are available and presented professionally
- on‐shelf
- To successfully manage store level relationships between Woolworths NZ and Goodman Fielder
- To ensure all Merchandisers comply with Goodman Fielder and store policies
- Execution of GF's merchandising programme at store level in conjunction with the Field Merchandising Manager (FMM)

**Your accountabilities will be**:

- Support the FMM with recruitment
- Training and development for team members, including sharing best practice
- Develop effective relationships and ‘ways of working' with Distributors, Merchandising teams, Territory Sales Managers, Key Accounts, HR, Health & Safety, and Injury Management
- Build strong, trusting, and effective relationships with Countdown Store Teams & Management
- Ensure rosters and call cycles are executed as planned and adequate cover is organised
- Execute sales and compliance checks within Countdown supermarkets:

- Monitor share of shelf o Build displays & ensure point of sale aligns with best practice
- Utilise store relationships to gain discretionary space for offsite displays
- Analyse sales data to identify in‐store opportunities
- Conduct regular performance reviews with key custom
- Provide inductions and “on the job” training for new Merchandisers
- Spend time side by side with team members and implement corrective action where required Actively manage the individual performance of team members
- Complete merchandiser performance reviews every six months and provide performance related feedback as and when require

**About you**:

- Customer focused

- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- Computer literacy skills (desirable), e.g. MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce
- Current driver's license

- Experience Required: People management experience, desirable
- Demonstrated experience as a senior merchandiser
- FMCG industry experience (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
